Getting Started: QQI (Ireland) Recognition

QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) recognises the value of awards made by another awarding body where the awarding body is:
  • nationally recognised in its own country
  • operating a quality assured awarding process

The method by which recognition is given is through exemption from one or more appropriate minor award(s) where a learner is seeking a major award. An exemption cannot be requested by a learner directly. It must be submitted by a centre on behalf of the learner.

Microsoft Certification Exemptions

Exemptions have been granted by QQI for a number of Microsoft certifications.  Click on the links below to see which QQI component(s) can be exempted on the basis of a learner holding the Microsoft certification indicated.
